Hearing Aid Assistance Program

HEAR AGAIN is a hearing aid distribution program.  Individuals who cannot otherwise afford hearing aids are given refurbished aids -- at no cost.  To apply for this program -- or to donate used hearing aids (and receive a tax-deduction), please contact Jean Powell at Deaf & Hearing Services in Leesburg, FL.

• Program benefits local residents

There are very few "recycling" programs for hearing aids.  One well-known national program requires an $80 application fee with no guarantee that the applicant with receive anything in return.  Deaf & Hearing Services, in cooperation with local audiologists, pick up the entire cost of collecting, refurbishing, and distributing recycled hearing aids back into the community.  Even the medical exam expenses are covered and recipients can rest assured that their specific hearing loss will be addressed.  This is NOT a "one size fits all" program.
